The Seven Rules of Networking
Keep in mind these rules when you contact
your resources:
- Know why you are contacting a person and
how he or she can help you. Don’t limit
>yourself by asking only for employment; ask
for information and ideas as well.
- Make a powerful first impression (you’ll
learn more about this in the next unit).
- Learn something from every contact.

contact, and keep copies of these letters for
